Project Description

808 is a concept for a website for all hip hop, rap, and similar events in South Africa. 808 refers to a common music terms which is a percussion sound known for its booming, low-frequency bass.

The illustrations on the site were inspired by the style of the video game Grand Theft Auto. I wanted the art to give life to the urban concept of the website.

The look and feel of the website was designed to complement the illustration style to give an urban-street vibe.

I built this website for the final submission of this project using vanilla HTML5 and CSS3, with basic JavaScript from online sources.
