Project Description

Amarin is a global pharmaceutical brand that focusses on heart medication, with the goal of stopping cardiovascular disease from being a leading cause of death.

Their headquarters are in Switzerland and America, with the job coming in from the project lead in Germany.

Amarin needed an updated brand identity to be developed, this included a complete revamp of their website, templates, mailers, and other brand assets. I was the creative lead of the project, working with the project lead to materialise all the necessary assets.

The client flew me to out Berlin to work collaboratively with the team lead on executing elements and building the relationship.

We went through iterative rounds with various design approaches proposed in each, before proceeding to designing the initial 50+ pages for the global corporate website.

Following this, the process of creating the component library began, which totalled to 150+ components. Each component had to be styled twice due to the fact that Amarin’s product, Vazkepa, has a different visual identity to Amarin. All the pages were then prototyped for client review.

For this aspect of the project, many elements and assets were developed, either my me or under my review and feedback.

Part of my role was to ensure that any new videos produced was in accordance with the new look and feel. This included creating and reviewing of storyboards and motion. I was in the sound studio for the audio production and voice over.

I worked to upskill team members in Figma to be able to assist on the project, this involved teaching them the programme, and reviewing and tweaking the work.

Seeing that I had built the component libraries, it fell to me to train up the various international teams that would be using them. I built the training decks, hosted many sessions and made myself available to them regarding any questions or issues they may face, as well as overseeing localised sitemaps.

I worked with the dev team to get the corporate and localised websites built and did problem solving for any issues that arose and troubleshooted solutions. I did the creative and functional quality assurance by logging tickets for the dev team.
